Just messing about in Photoshop as usual, I think perhaps I went a bit overboard on the soft airy feel, but I was in an airy mood. I'm finding myself quite busy at the moment so not able to spend large amounts of time on ultra-complex pieces, hopefully that'll sort itself out soon.

At first I couldn't make heads or tails out of this. Then I got this watery feeling, you know? As if the the lower part was water reflecting the upper part.

"For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water."
(John 5:4. I'm not very religious, but I kinda like that passage and this image made me think of it.)

Awesome job! I love all the feathery stuff.

smooth colours but I dont really like the composition. To put the object in the deadcenter of the composition makes it kinda boring.

Odd comment coming from someone who several pictures with centered objects. I diagree anyway, always trying to stick things off to one side of a picture to create a 'different' focal point just limits the compositional possibilities of a picture.

Well I don't believe that sticking things off to the side of the picture suddenly makes it good design, and I don't think I need you suggesting that I need to learn how to compose pictures or that you are in any position to help me.

well then tell me what makes the composition in your image.-
I didnt say anything about sticking things off to the side in general. I just dont thing the way you build the image works in this special case.

And I didnt say putting things in the center is always a bad thing.

And I didnt say you have to learn how to compose. I just said that I think you could have pushed things further in this one.

If you cant handle critique and think that you dont need any why dont you turn off the comment function?

Well actually the way you toned your comment was extremely irritating to me, there's a difference between giving critique and implying you know better. The phrase 'I learned' suggests that I just haven't had the practice you have.

As for the composition of this piece, I believe that any picture so heavily based around one object benefits from having it close to the centre. When I finished it I was far more concerned with the semiotics of having a right to left movement than where the focal point was.

If you take a look at the other comments, yours was not the only criticism, the others just didn't use a condescending tone, that's what I find annoying.

"smooth colours but I dont really like the composition. To put the object in the deadcenter of the composition makes it kinda boring."

I dont see anything offending in that phrase because I even started with something positive. However lets stop to discuss about it. I neither want to insult you nor your work.

Wow, it looks like some beautiful bird.

My only complaint is that maybe the color might be getting a bit old.
